The Disparrows (from the album Wasting Time)
The Disparrows attack Blues Rock in their current release, Wasting Time, as the band takes the title to heart, carving out a path for the album as they hack at the songs with razor-sharp guitar chords and gnaw at grooves with a pointed-teeth beat. Wasting Time hits the Rock hard to ask for “Change”, stomps out a rhythm against the roar of a siren in “World Keeps Burning”, cuts at expectations with power chords in “We are the Young”, and hard punches in the buttons to find a signal for lost love in “Radio”. The Disparrows are a Los Angeles, California-based rock’n’roll band, building west coast beach bonfires to claim “May Be Crazy”, sliding on notes that drip with the Blues in “Dying for You”, and light up “High on You” on hard-edged beats as they seek some salvation on gospel keyboards, choir harmonies, and one mighty groove for glory in “Set Us Free”.
